Neighborhood Walks

We take our neighborhood walks to cultivate a community that includes the presence of children. Like the bees pollinating the flowers and the birds chirping, the children see themselves as part of this place and are filled with adventure and joy like the squirrels playing and jumping from tree to tree. The children love running the hills, letting the wind and sun hug them.

Walking in our neighborhood brings us closer in community because we are part of a larger environment exploring, discovering, learning together and building a sense of place. Our being there reminds us as adults to slow down, enjoy, and be in the moment. – Teacher Flora
