Here is a DAY IN THE LIFE of the Cilantros and Dandelions this week:
There’s a strong culture around the words we use at The New School-West. It’s in our handbooks and it’s collected and curated throughout the years to help children learn participation and responsibility without shame, blame or privilege. We are always happy to share it with you – take a look at some key phrases here: Teacher Language – how do we get the children to do that?

Looks like we’re starting to breathe easier. We will be observing the air quality and keep you updated in our decisions based on this link. https://www.airnow.gov/?city=Los%20Angeles&state=CA&country=USA.
Thank you to the families for bringing beautiful flowers that inspire the children’s work. Check out the SignUpGenius if you are available to bring flowers next week.
Also, thank you for your support in keeping all children in our community healthy by packing nut-free lunches and honoring the staggered drop off and pick up times.
We wish you a safe and relaxing weekend and hope you enjoy seeing these photos of the children in joyful exploration, investigation, and play.
